I drew this up in Photoshop with the aid of some reference I took of myself (standing in the same pose in my living room...)
Gives a pretty good idea of how I want him to look. Some aspects may change when it comes to actually creating him but that's a given. If I can get this right, I will have a piece of work that I will be very proud of.
Onto modelling!

Modelling Assignment - 24
So for our modelling assignment we have to create a character that is based on one of the existing characters from the film '9' by Shane Acker. I was assigned the number 24. I had to come up for a personality for him and his aesthetics.
I have decided that he will be an adventurer type character, who is also resourceful within the wastelands that he finds himself in.
Here is a quick facial concept and collage I created to help visualise the end result.

Main Project - Concert Scene Rough Layout
Just a quick layout of the concert scene... definitely not final. Inspiration taken from an existing concert hall. I am unsure of the final camera angles and lighting so I may need to add further details but I will leave that for a later stage in the process. For now... here is what I have!
Main Project - Characters
Meet the cast! In concept form...
Main character as a child
Main character as young adult (in concert)
Main character as middle aged man
Main Project - Storyboards
A few images from my initial storyboards for main project. After some feedback I have adapted the layout of the story so will need to redo these. Once I have a proper animatic I will upload onto here for feedback.

Main Project - Office Environment
So one of my scenes for my final project, takes place in an Office Cubicle. I have tried to model everything within it as accurately as possible so that the detail shows up when it's nicely lit. I am going for a Monsters Inc look, so a mix between high detail modelling and realistic, but not photo realistic texturing.
I still have to model a mouse, the cables and some paperwork. But the main bulk of it is done.

Trusty Stapler
Computer Chair - Underside
Computer Chair - Finished
Floppy Disk! (This was alot of fun to model)
Main Character - Final
Here is the final character model for the Middle-Age man, excluding the hair and eyebrows however.
Fairly happy with him, can't wait to see him textured and under some lighting. 2 more characters to go...

Main Project - Character Update
I will start with the main character as that was the last thing that I posted. These are the in progress images from where I left off. It has been a fair amount of back and forth, tweaking the verts to get him to the shape I want.
All I can say is... I hate modelling hands.

Fixing some topology issues.
Hand Version #1 - Deleted fairly quickly
Hand Version #2 - The more I looked at it, the more I disliked it. Deleted.
Onto Hand Version #3!
Hair Test
It has been a while...
So it has been quite a while since I last posted... mainly because it's been a bit hectic these ends. I am finally going to break the silence and upload some stuff. Enjoy the mass upload!

Character Concept: From 2D to 3D
And so there is life! Was a bit rusty when I started off modelling earlier this afternoon. Felt like I didn't know what I was doing. Ended up starting the model over a couple times but eventually got my modelling mind back. So far so good. My references aren't aligned 100%, but at least I can power on still. The head is quite round and although I like it, I want his forehead to have more definition. There is still tonnes of tweaking needed but as a basis, I am happy. I will hopefully have this model completed by the end of this week.
